Cancellation/ Refund

Cancellation by the Client of any scheduled walk/training must be done minimum 24 hours prior to the start time of any service. Failure to provide proper notification may result in a 50% fee of service penalty. Once a package training program has been paid for, refunds will result in a loss of 50% of remaining balance.

Payment Terms

Invoices will be sent following completion of service(s). Payment will be accepted via cash, cheque or etransfer to katenk9s@outlook.com. Accounts in arrears after 7 business days will begin to incur interest of 10% total.

Weather

Outdoor training and walks will not occur if the temperature is below -25 degrees Celsius (inclusive of wind chill) or above 35 degrees Celsius (inclusive of humidex). Outdoor training and walks will also not occur where weather conditions may impact the safety of Kate N K9s, dog(s), or both. This may include but is not limited to high winds, heavy snow, heavy rain, or thunder and lightning.

Outside Service Area

If client resides outside of the 20km radius, an additional $0.70 cents will be added per kilometer. A flat rate may be applied to those who greatly exceed our service area.

Vaccination

Proof of current vaccination is mandatory for all canine clients. This is to be administered at least 5 days prior to boarding by your veterinarian. We require proof of vaccination for Distemper/Parvo combo (DAPPV) and Bordetella (sometimes referred to as Canine Cough). All dogs over 4 months of age must have proof of Rabies vaccination. Leptospirosis vaccination and a parasite prevention product are strongly recommended. A flea prevention is strongly recommended for all guests prior to boarding between April – October.

Holidays

If client books service on a Statutory Holiday, Kate N K9's will be charging 1.5x the amount for the scheduled service(s).

Emergency

In the event of a medical emergency, Kate N K9's will contact the client at the numbers provided to confirm plan of action. If contact is unable to be made promptly, Kate N K9's is authorized to transport dog to documented veterinary office and request on site treatment.
